Jaguars announce training camp schedule
For the third straight year, the Jaguars have scheduled 10 open training camp practices.
The Jaguars announced this summer’s camp schedule on Tuesday and it includes two days of previously-announced workouts with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Parking and practice attendance are free of charge to fans, who are encouraged to pre-register at www.jaguars.com/trainingcamp. Gates to the practice fields will open 30 minutes before each workout. Parking will be available in Lots M and N.
A breakdown of the open practices:
*Six morning practices (10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.) on July 27-28 and 31 and Aug. 1-3.
*One night practice (6:30-9 p.m.) on July 29 for Jags365 season ticket members only. This is the first practice in full pads.
*A team scrimmage (6-8:30 p.m.) on Aug. 4 inside EverBank Field. Public registration instructions will be announced later this summer.
*Two practices with the Buccaneers that are open (10 a.m.-1:05 p.m.) are Aug. 14-15. The teams also practiced together last year.
The only notable change under new coach Doug Marrone is the morning practice start time – pushed ahead 30 minutes – compared to previous years.
The Jaguars’ rookies and first-year players report to training camp July 19, followed by the quarterbacks on July 21 and the rest of the roster on July 26.
The Jaguars will have two days of joint practices (Aug. 7-8) with the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Mass., before the teams’ preseason game on Aug. 10 (7:30 p.m.). The Jaguars will host Tampa Bay on Aug. 17 (8 p.m.) and Carolina on Aug. 24 (7:30 p.m.) before breaking camp. They close the preseason Aug. 31 at Atlanta (7 p.m.).
The Jaguars open the regular season at Houston on Sept. 10 (1 p.m.).
